Led by our Fabulous Director of Children's Music, Mary Gaskins, our programs are nurturing environments of creativity and student-centered exploration of the arts
Young Arts and Spiritual Development Focusing on spiritual development through interdisciplinary arts immersion, this Young Arts and Spiritual Development 4th-8th grade program encourages youth to find their voice through a variety of mediums, centering fine arts as a part of their spiritual lives. (4th graders have the option of performing with the Merry Makers if preferred). Beginning in the fall, youth are given the opportunity to explore movement, visual arts, theater, instruments, singing, team building, and even perform in the annual Banding Together event as the lead group. The ensemble performs throughout the congregational year and helps to lead the Christmas Eve Children's Pageant. YASD meets in the program building chapel on Sunday mornings from 11:15-12:15. Please contact Mary Gaskins at email@example.com for more information. To register visit the RE Program Enrollment Website. You must enroll through the RE program in addition to your regular RE classes. *drop ins any day are always welcome and enthusiastically encouraged
Merry Makers This heartwarming group ranges from Pre-K-4th grade. 4th graders have the option of joining the Young Arts and Spiritual Development Ensemble as appropriate. Our littlest artists dance, sing, play musical games, build musicianship, spiritual practices through the arts, use instruments, and experience a loving and patient group of teachers and parents. This group meets on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Program Building beginning September 22nd.
